This is what i have learn so far in my Psychology course Be Bless Ministry Blogger and learner

The Cerebral Cortex is the most outer layer of the brain. This part of the brain is divided into four major lobes. Each of the four lobes have specific functions that it needs to perform. Each of the lobes help us with very important parts of everyday life.
The Frontal Lobe sits in the front part of the Cerebral Cortex. This lobe is responsible for short term memory, movement and different aspects of emotion. The Parietal Lobe is the upper middle part of the Cerebral Cortex. This lobe is in charge of  what the body may physically feel, touch. The Parietal can tell you if something is hot or cold to the touch. Directly at the bottom of Parietal Lobe is the Temporal Lobe. The Temporal Lobe is mainly responsible for hearing and visual processing. Visual processing is what lets you recognize different shapes and patterns. The Occipital Lobe is what is in charge vision. It is located at the back of the Cerebral Cortex.
Since the Cerebral Cortex is involved in the "higher order" of brain function it impacts our emotions in many ways. If all four lobes are performing correctly our emotions should be for the most part in control. Sometimes our  Cerebral Cortex may receive injury or disease to these lobes  and that will affect our emotions. We may experience sadness or  even anger that may lead to depression, because our brain is not functioning as it should. There are many disorders, injuries and disease that can cause this to happen. Understanding and learning about this part of the brain is very important part of psychology.
