MEN - BE CAREFUL HOW YOU PUT YOUR MOUTH ON WOMEN IN MINISTRY - SHE JUST MAY BE THE KEY TO YOUR RESTORATION
Sometimes women in ministry get a bad rap from men in ministry.
I was reading in Luke 24 how the women who had gone to the tomb of Jesus with spices they had prepared found the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. They were then frightened when 2 angels with clothes shining like lightening appeared and reminded them what Jesus had said in Galilee regarding how the Son of Man would be crucified and raised the 3rd day.
They went to go tell this to the apostles and others. It says in Luke 24:11 these men would not believe the women and thought they were speaking nonsense. Only one responded - Peter - the one whom satan had asked for to sift as wheat, and who consequently denied the Lord 3 times.
But now through the announcement of what these women have seen, Peter, the one needing healing, deliverance and restoration responds. This is the beginning step toward his restoration, and it is initiated by these women whom he believes. Jesus has prayed for him. HIs faith is about to be restored and now he takes the first steps toward this, and he runs to the tomb, while the others continue to talk about how nonsensical these women and what they have said are.
I know there is still a lot of debate out there about women in ministry. But God has always used women throughout Scripture as part of his epic story. Women have many times spiritual sensitivities that men do not always have in the same way. They carry something special from God and can help initiate things in powerful ways.
And many times they have an anointing and faith to see those who may have thought it was over like Peter, get up and begin running toward their destiny again. They may not initially be received by all the men who may view them as nonsensical, but their anointing can target the key player in the equation who has dropped the "keys of the Kingdom" he had received and help stir him to launch back out on his destiny. One announcement from these women stirrred Peter to start running.
It says these women were preparing the spices to anoint Jesus body. I believe there is a prophetic application in this, that many women love fragrant spices, and the presentation of their ministry and message may be accompanied by those "spiritual" fragrant spices that have been prepared in their times of prayer, communion, worship and consecration before the Lord.
These "spicy" women in ministry will not always be received by all men. But their "spicy" prophetic and apostolic anointing will target those ready for restoration - those ready to get back in the race, and will have the effect of healing, deliverance, and restoration.
Psalm 68:11 in the Amplified Bible says, "and the women who proclaim the good news are a great host."
God is raising up an army of anointed "spicy and fragrant" women apostles and prophets and evangelists in this season who will bring healing and restoration to many. Let's be careful how we treat them. What some men may say is "nonsense" may actually stir a "Peter" to get back in
